Various different tourist attractions and landmarks can be explored in the region around Stuhlfelden.
- Krimmler Wasserfälle, (Krimmler waterfalls)
- die Großglockner Hochalpenstraße (high alpine road)
- Nationalparkzentrum in Mittersill (nationalpark centre)
- Eisriesenwelt in Werfen (ice caverns of Werfen)
In addition, the region around Stuhlfelden offers a wide range of summits as rewarding hiking-destinations. That span reaches from rather simple peaks, such as the Gaißstein (2363m; approx. 1 hour ascent), which offers one of the most stunning mountain panoramas, to glaciated summits such as the Großvenediger, Salzburg's highest mountain(2 days recommended; approx. 10 hour ascent). The Knappenweg(miner's trail), der Smaragdwanderweg(emerald-trail), der Bienenlehrpfad (bee path) are only a selection of the various theme-hiking-trails offered in the area.
Stuhlfelden also offers its guests an 18-hole golf course with a restaurant and various other conveniences. Stuhlfelden is also a rather adequate holiday destination for archers. You will find various arching-parcours, where you will be able to prove and improve your accuracy.
Our region can also be explored by bike. Over 100 kilometres of marked roads and trails for mountainbikers offer a wide range of possibilities to experience the region on two wheels. All of those trips receive a special quality by the various local mountain-restaurants and huts. There is nothing better as a reward to a demanding hike and to accompany an amazing view than a hearty snack, offered for example at the Panoramaalm, or the Bürgelhütte.
For the more quiet ours, we suggest the 'cultural evenings' in Mittersill, a visit of the museums of local history in the different small townships, or current exhibitions in the area.
In Uttendorf, only a few kilometres away, there is an idyllic lake for bathing. The lake also offers a waterslide and a restaurant nearby.
